System Design
After a detailed feasibility analysis, Runge & Company can design a desktop embossing system, including the operational infrastructure, for secure instant issuance of Visa- or MasterCard-branded cards, including Campus Cards. Here are the steps we take to design a new instant card issuance system:
- Establish minimum site security and support requirements
- Develop risk management/audit requirements for the handling of card stock and consumables
- Determine network/communications requirements for card issuance and card activation
- Develop logistical requirements including step-by-step operations and process flow, staffing model and training, and technical support requirements that meet or exceed best practices for instant issuance from Visa® or MasterCard®
- Utilize a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of soliciting detailed feedback from potential business partners in order to complete the technical design specifications and operational process flow
- Select business partners (for hardware, software and maintenance) and negotiate contracts
- Complete the implementation plan, including project timeline and key milestones
